189: How to steward your Self, not dominate and fix

Hi Soothers! In today's podcast episode, I talk about the concept of dominating and improving and fixing the self, vs. stewarding and tending to and nourishing the Self. This is a bit more musings on my recent Sunday Soother essay, We Don't Own, We Steward, which you can read here.

Owning means trying to "fix" ourselves so we can be something "more" — more efficient, more productive, skinner, "prettier", etc. Stewarding means we nourish what we've been given, honoring its truth, helping it realize its full potential, but from an energy of love, care and respect for what is.

This is the last week for enrollment in Soothe, my year-long mastermind for highly sensitive women starting in January 2023. Read more about Soothe at catherinedandrews.com/soothe and book your discovery call with me here. Soothe is open for enrollment until December 22.

The Sunday Soother podcast is a spin-off of The Sunday Soother, a weekly newsletter that creates conversations around compassionate personal development and helps readers access their spirituality, magic and mindfulness in practical, actionable ways.
